As a replacement for the turn signal or hazard switch on early models, you have to remove the negative cable from the battery. Remove the Turn Signal Switch by retracting the turn signal switch lever, and by unscrewing it from the Turn Signal Switch. Then pull out the Turn Signal Switch shroud, as well as the instrument panel opening cover. For the new switch, fix the wires at the pull wire and while guiding put the harness through. Reverse process for installation and ensure that all turn signal and warning flasher functions are working properly. For later models, the starting point is to unlock and pull off the Turn Signal Switch shrouds, then unscrew and pull out the multi-function switch while the installation process is done the other way around.
