    The dot on the end of the steering shaft must be in the 9 o'clock position, and the electrical lead for the clockspring must be in the 3 o'clock position. If not aligned, rotate the hub of the clockspring clockwise until it stops, then turn it in the opposite direction 2-1/4 revolutions to center it.
