    How do you remove and install an axleshaft oil seal on Ford Mustang? Posted by Customer

    Remove the axleshaft. Off the end of the axle housing, pry the old oil seal out such using a seal removing tool or the inner end of the shaft of the axles whichever is available; this might not be very likely to be a seal removing tool, instead the use of a pry bar or even the axle end could be tried. With the lips of the new seal facing inwards and the metal face visible from the end of the axle housing, tap the new seal into position you may use a seal driver or a large socket. If it is correctly fitted, one face of the oil seal must be in contact with the end of the axle housing and the lips of the oil seal must be wiped in gear oil. Finally, install the axleshaft.
