- A:Remove the wing nut(s) attaching the air cleaner top plate to the air cleaner housing. Then, remove the air cleaner top and take out the Air Filter. Installation is the reverse of removal. - A:Disconnect the vacuum hose and outlet tube from the air cleaner cover. Remove the cover retaining screws and lift the cover off. Remove the filter. Wipe the inside of the air cleaner housing with a clean cloth. Place the new air filter in the housing. If the filter is marked TOP, be sure the marked side faces up. Reinstall the cover and retaining screws. Don't overtighten the screws! Reconnect the vacuum hose and outlet tube.Posted by FordPartsGiant Specialist
