If the vehicle is equipped with Automatic Ride Control (ARC), make sure the air suspension switch is turned to the OFF position before raising the vehicle to prevent damage to the system components. Place a large block of wood between the jack head and the oil pan, then carefully raise the engine just enough to take the weight off the mounts.

Remove the two nuts securing the mount to the frame cross member and the two bolts securing the mount to the transmission extension housing.

Insert a large screwdriver or pry bar into the space between the transmission extension housing and the frame cross member and pry up.

Use a large screwdriver or pry bar to attempt to move the mounts. If movement is noted, lower the engine and tighten the mount fasteners.

Place a large block of wood between the jack head and the oil pan, then carefully raise the engine just enough to take the weight off the mounts.
