How to remove the heater/air conditioner control assembly and dashboard center trim panel on Ford Escape?

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Remove the dashboard center trim panel. Remove the A/C switch retaining screws. On 2007 and earlier models, disconnect the temperature blend door control cables, the blower motor switch, and the temperature control switch connectors. On later models, disconnect the wiring harness. Installation is the reverse of removal.
