To replace the flasher relay the negative cable of the battery should be disconnected, then flasher has to be removed either by pulling it right out of the fuse box or electrical connector, and then one has to make sure that the new flasher is an exact match with the original flasher which has to be then installed in the fuse box or the instrument panel connector.
