Q: How to remove and replace switches on Ford Mustang?
A: Switches and transducers are threaded onto Schrader valves, so no need to discharge the AC system. Transducers are used on V6 engine models and resemble the dual function pressure switch on V8 engine models. To replace them, unplug the electrical connector, unscrew the switch or transducer from the Schrader valve with a wrench, lubricate the switch O-ring with refrigerant oil, screw the new switch or transducer on until hand tight, then tighten with a wrench, and reconnect the electrical connector.
