How to remove and install a coolant expansion tank on Ford Taurus?

Remove pressure from cooling system by turning Coolant Reservoir cap counterclockwise. Remove cap. Clamp lower coolant hose with pliers. Remove coolant from Coolant Reservoir using suction device. Save if in good condition. Disconnect upper and lower coolant hoses. Detach pin-type retainer if equipped. Separate power steering fluid reservoir if necessary. Remove mounting bolts. Move tank aside to access electrical connector. Disconnect and remove tank. Clean with soapy water and brush. Inspect for cracks. Replace if cracked. Installation is reverse of removal.
