- Q: How to remove and install the A/C Switch on the heater and air conditioning control assembly on Lincoln Town Car?A:Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Remove the instrument panel trim pieces necessary to gain access to the A/C switch. Remove the screws retaining the A/C switch to the dash. Pull the switch out of the instrument panel far enough to remove the control cables (if equipped) and the vacuum and electrical connectors. Disconnect the electrical connectors to the switch assembly and blower switch. Remove the retainers securing the vacuum harness to the switch assembly and remove the harness as an assembly from the vacuum selector valve. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
