    On 3.0L engines, apply RTV sealant to the keyway and inner bore of the pulley and lubricate the outer sealing surface of the pulley with clean engine oil. The pulley should be installed and tightened within four minutes of applying the sealant. Align the pulley keyway with the crankshaft key and install the pulley with a suitable pulley installation tool available at auto parts stores. Install and tighten the pulley bolt. Note: The manufacturer suggests that a new pulley bolt be installed.

    Remove the camshaft alignment tool. Remove the spark plugs and rotate the engine clockwise two complete revolutions by turning the crankshaft pulley bolt with a wrench or large socket. Rotate the engine again to achieve TDC. Rotate the engine in the clockwise direction only. Install the timing pin into the cylinder block.
