    Insert the holding tool into the pulley and tighten the crankshaft pulley bolt. Remove the crankshaft pulley holding tool and the threaded crankshaft alignment bolt from the pulley and front engine cover.

    On 3.0L engines, apply RTV sealant to the keyway and inner bore of the pulley and lubricate the outer sealing surface of the pulley with clean engine oil. The pulley should be installed and tightened within four minutes of applying the sealant. Align the pulley keyway with the crankshaft key and install the pulley with a suitable pulley installation tool available at auto parts stores. Install and tighten the pulley bolt. Note: The manufacturer suggests that a new pulley bolt be installed.
