Locate the battery negative cable and unbolt it from the battery, next undo the timing belt. To save time for changing the belt, one can unclipping the camshaft sprocket and pull it up with a piece of string so that the belt remains engaged while the sprocket remains off the belt and is secured at a distance away with a high tension to prevent re-engagement. It's possible to insert an appropriate bar through the camshaft sprockets and lock this component, then, after that, take out the bolts, and pull out the sprockets. To remove it, use a proper hooked tool to lift the seal out with out distorting the seal bore so as to avoid oil leaks. Before installing the new seal, use thin layer of the grease spread along the outer circumference of the new seal; also, coat the seal lips with the engine oil. Filter and fit the seald in its position by using sprocket bolt with a spacer of a huge socket. Replace the sprocket and then fasten the bolt to the necessary torque. After cleansing the timing belt, place it in the position and fixature it with the appropriate tension and reconnect the battery negative cable.

Grease the seal lips to ease installation, then fit it over the end of the camshaft using your fingers. Draw or tap the seal into place until it is flush with the housing/bearing cap outer edge (Fit the seal, lips inwards, using your fingers then tap it home using a large socket).

Apply a light coat of clean engine oil to the lip of the new seal.
