How do you remove and reinstall the oil pump assembly on Ford Crown Victoria?

Unbolt and lower the oil pan. Remove the oil pick-up tube-to-main bearing cap nut. Remove the oil pump pick-up tube mounting bolts and the two bolts to detach the oil pick-up tube. Remove the oil pump mounting bolts and lower the oil pump assembly into the oil pan, lifting them all out together. If the pump is faulty or suspected to be faulty, install a new one instead of attempting to repair the original. Prime the oil pump prior to installation by pouring clean oil into the pick-up and turning the pump shaft by hand. If the pump is separated from the pick-up tube, use a new gasket and tighten the bolts securely when reattaching them. As the pump is reinstalled, fit the oil pump driveshaft into the pump, ensuring it seats all the way without forcing it; if it doesn't align, turn the pump slightly and try again. Install the mounting bolts/nut and tighten them to the specified torque.
