For the 5.0 L V8 engine, start with the removal of cable from the negative terminal of the battery, then follow it with the elimination of the air inlet and outlet tubes together with the air filter housing. Secondly, it is required to unbolt the drivebelt and tensioner, then unscrew and pulled off the rubber weather boot over the alternator's B+ terminal nut, after that, unscrew the B+ terminal nut and disconnect the battery cable from the B+ terminal.
